Now no I don't think so because even now I go to bed around the time of 10 o'clock and I get waken up every day totally tired and drowsy. If students were allowed to pick their own bedtime they would stay up way too late on weekdays.

Still no the students would end up really tired in the school day.

I see your argument that the students will be tired because they wouldn't choose the right time. I disagree because after the night they wake up feeling tired, the students will learn the lesson that they will feel tired and wouldn't think about staying up late like they used to do. Because of this I believe the students should be allowed to choose their own time.

I know what you are getting at but really? Kids want to stay up no matter how tired they are in the morning. Honestly it happens allot.

I see your argument that would stay up too late. I disagree because when they pick there own bedtime then they would be able to wake up at the right time cause if they go to bed at 8:30 then they will wake up to early cause there body tells them they have had enough sleep. Because of this I believe students should be able to pick there own bedtime.

I disagree that chilldren get to pick their bedtime because if you stay up all night you will get so tired that you wouldn't be able to stand up all day. I also disagree that chilldren should pick their bedtime because what if they decide to stay up all night? Will they suffer from sleep in their eyes? Will they be grumpy all day and stay out of active activists? How will they ever wake up?

I see your argument that all kids are mature enough to pick an appropriate bed time. I disagree with this because all the students like to play games on their iPods and they would like to play on them instead of going to sleep. If they stayed up all night, what do you think the students will feel like? They would feel drowsy and tired, and they wouldn't be able to focus on their school work. Because of this, I believe the students shouldn't be allowed to pick their own bed time.

I believe the students should be allowed to choose their own bed times. Students have the rights to do what they want to do. Its true, that not all the students are mature, and they may stay up all night to play games. But next morning, they would realize how tired they are, and wouldn't think of staying up all night like they used to do and that will teach the students a lesson. Plus, the students have to learn how to independent. A few years later, the students will have to go to college where they will live and study. There aren't his or her parents to tell them what to do. Because there are so many students, the teachers wouldn't be able to take care of each and every student. Therefore, students should have the rights to choose their own bed times to learn how to be independent and also, to learn that it is bad to stay up all night which will affect the students' condition.

i dont think that students shouldnt pick there own bed time. i think that because if they go to bed to late then they wont be able to focus during class time. they will be sleeping not paying attention in class. if you go to bed early then you will have more energy and you will be able to focus in class time.

I think yes because kids get really tired at school but they should get a start with life and govern their own self. If they are tired at school and they don't do their work properly, thats too bad 4 them. they chose to go to bed at 2 oclock in the morning. and I think they just have to pay the price of being tired the next morning.

I see your argument that the students should be responsible for choosing their own bed time. I disagree because the students are not all mature, they would only think about playing games on their iPods and stay up over night. There should be grown-ups who can control their children for the children's own good. Because of this I believe that children shouldn't be allowed to choose their own bed time.

I think no because kids might stay up tell 7:00 A.M. And then would have no sleep because they would have to get ready for school at that time. And when the kids go to school with no sleep they will act like zombies.

Bobby Orr, I see your argument that the students 10 and up are responsible to pick their own bed time. I disagree with this because even if the students are 10 and up,they would still like to play games on their iPods rather then sleeping. If the students stay up all night, the next morning, they would feel drownsy and tired, and wouldn't be able to focus on their school work which would be really bad for the students.

I see your arguement that the students would play video games untill late instead of sleeping. I disagree with this because the students can do stuff OTHER than playing video games. Why do all the people think that the students staying up late means the students playing games? There are other stuff the students can do besides playing games such as reading or doing their assignments/homework which could help the students for understanding things better.Because of this, I believe the students should be allowed to choose their own bed time.

I think students should not choose there own bedtimes. Because some say they will but then right when there parents go to bed well sometimes they lie. And they have school witch is a number 1 priority. Bcause us students need to learn in order to pass high school so we need to go bed at reasonable times. Parents are very good to you to have proper bedtimes so you are not sleeping in class during and importent lessson. Will you sleep in class? Will kids start being late? WILL YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT DESISION

No because kids might just lie that there going to bed at 9:00 but go to bed at 12:00 so their really tired in the morning on a school day. And its really hard getting up early for school

I think that kids should not pick their own bedtimes because they do not have the maturity to pick an appropriate time to hit the hay. Kids need their rest because their bodies and brains are still growing and need at least eight hours each night to stay healthy. If they go to bed too late, they will not function properly at school and will not learn. Parents understand this and decide on a time that will allow their children to get the rest they need.

How do children learn to be responsible unless their parents teach them first? Once they grow older they can start to make their own decisions. Most kids would stay up late just because they can or they loose track of time. This would lead to very bad sleeping habits and an unhealthy life.

I see your argument that the students are not mature enough to pick an appropriate time to sleep. I disagree with this because the students will be smart enough to know that they would be tired if they don't have enough sleep. Even if they did, after the night they stayed up all night, they would KNOW that they would be really tired if they ever stayed up all night again and wouldn't even think about it like they always did.
